The Mystery of 2012, an Anthology
Published by Sounds True
by Review by Craig Shafer
For centuries spiritual guides have studied the Mayan calendar and pondered its cryptic prediction that the year 2012 will mark the end of an era on Earth. Does this prediction mean the end of the Earth itself? Or, does it speak to the possibility of dramatic evolutionary changes; changes that will bring about elevated and enlightened states of world consciousness?

The Mystery of 2012 features an array of renowned spiritual and scientific experts seeking to answer these questions, examining all aspects of the year 2012 and the prospect of cataclysmic change. Writers such as Gregg Braden see the possibility of a reversal of the Earth’s magnetic poles. Jean Houston examines her vision for a new humanity. No stone is left unturned as 22 other authors delve into the prophesies of Mayan shamans.

I like the balance between factual possibilities and visionary hopes in this book. The Mystery of 2012 can be compelling for both the skeptic and the believer and, at times, can be a little scary.

After reading this book, the question remains — 2012 is coming…are you ready?

Available in hardcover at $22.95.
